HERE COMES THE SUN!!!

It is time to take a much needed break...
gonna go in search of the BIG YELLOW ORB!
I have a house sitter & animal sitter...so I feel
that I truly can 'relax'...(I'm a little freaky about
my animals...they are after all my babies). Going to
be scouting the scenery out and soaking all the
surroundings in! I need some 'inspiration'...a change of
environment will do the trick! I adore reading...
so I think about a '12' or so books will do the trick...
also taking the game 'farkle'...nice & easy way to spend
an afternoon sipping margaritas and playing a fun game!

A NEW WEEK!

Well...tis Monday and I think I'm gonna go out and about
and get some much needed inspiration. See what the folks are doing
out in the big world. Sometimes I just need a 'jolt' of new things I haven't
seen to get me inspired...like paper stores, shoe stores, book stores,
art stores...actually driving around in a new neighborhood
is always fun and can be just the 'thing' I need to INSPIRE!

Here is my post for PINK SATURDAY!
Above is a NEW Pattern that I designed for paper...fabric...
Today is gonna be nothing but being with friends...
laughing...eating...drinking...and watching a football game.
AND it's going to be 90 here today...our summer is
finally here, for a week they say?
Next week is gonna be a frenzy of designing, I'm working on
gift bags, banners, plaques...but today is for doing nothing.
Hope all of you have a wonderful Labor Day weekend...
stay safe...and here's to a beautiful FALL!

for a company that makes several different kind
of 'coffee' containers...
and I'm working on a 5 different series.
All I can tell you now...is I'm dreaming of dragons...

My favorite colors are black & white...and chartreuse...

BUT...I gotta have me a little hit of HOT PINK once in a while!
WOW...do I love these shoes...although my feet are already screaming seeing those heels...I guess my days of those Hot High heels are over.

But I can dream can't I?

I've just sent off some designs for pillows...

this particular company wanted something for a
'teen-age' girl...I think I can handle that. I created a few designs
that were inspired by "Mazie"...my hip teenager.


Today I've been working on tabletop products...
it's a beautiful day here and life is great!

Pinking reminds me of my Mom...she was a fabulous seamstress...
I however never could get the hang of sewing, I tried...but it just
wasn't for moi! When sissy & I were getting things organized
for our Garage Sale last weekend...I came across one of my
Barbies...(one with the bubble hair-do) I also found some clothes
that Mom had made me for Babs! She sewed me everything from
wedding dresses to a grey wool coat & muffler that had real 'mink'
trim...can you imagine? She was something on her good old
Singer...that machine sits on a shelf in the studio...looking down
on sissy & I creating. How appropriate...Mom was the person
that always said I could do anything...especially draw. How
lucky was I? EXTREMELY!
Have a truly fantastic PINK DAY!

Mom's little Singer...(it was in a flood about 15 years ago.)
but it does have a place of honor!

A day just for Moi...
my sister & two fabulous friends decided to spend the day with me...
for my birthday (June 26th)...
it was a perfectly sunny...warm...
gorgeous day to take a drive in the country...
land in a sweet little town...
grab lunch on a deck over looking a babbling brook...
share some great conversation...have a few laughs...
all in all...a PERFECT DAY!

'Guilty Pleasures' images on it! WHEE!!!

RAIN...

In the middle of a job...the damn printer went down...
something is wacko with the computer...why is it just
when I get started on something new...a machine
gives me fits? Just lucky I guess! Working on or trying to work
on some comps for some dinnerware. Also just sent some of
my work to Atlanta with some reps...crossing my fingers!
it's also raining again...where the HECK is summer?
